Lamb/Mutton
Our locally reared lambs roam green pastures and hillsides, which produces lamb of the finest quality and highest standards – from succulent legs to meaty shoulders, loin chops and lean mince, rack of lamb, lamb noisettes and sweetbreads.
Jon Thorner's are also members of The Mutton Renaissance Club. Mutton is an understated meat which is becoming increasingly popular again – so ask our butchers for advice and maybe serve mutton to your family with a fabulously warming stew or mutton pie (recipes also available in our shops).
ANDREW HAWKINGS is our main supplier producing and sourcing high quality lambs and mutton. TOM WHEELER also supplies us with lambs and some mutton from his farm at Rhode near our Whiterow outlet.
