Whiterow shop wins award

Last week we announced that the Whiterow shop at Beckington had made it as finalists in the Farm Shop of the Year Awards 'Food Farmer'

Category. The owners Steve and Heather Tucker, as well as Jon and Caroline Thorner, travelled up to London to be at the presentation.

Despite strong competition at the Grosvenor Hotel Steve and Heather's Whiterow shop came out on top winning the first prize sponsored by Asda.

Jon Thorner's operates the butchery counter at the Whiterow shop which sells all the very best locally produced meats, including pork which is raised on Mr and Mrs Tucker's own farm. The shop, converted from a pig building almost a decade ago, now attracts around 3000 customers a week. Probably due to Steve and Heathers commitment to and passion for home-grown and locally produced foods. Something Jon Thorner's company fully supports.
