Rose Veal Now In Store

Jon Thorner's is pleased to now be stocking Rose Veal. We are being supplied by Jurassic Coast Meats Ltd who are located in Dorset. They source their animals from local dairy farms and rear them on Fossil Farm in airy, light, spacious conditions. Jurassic Coast Meats Ltd are registered with FABBL (Farm Assured British Beef and Lamb) which ensures that the animal welfare is of the highest standard.

Rose veal is highly fashionable and is an important ingredient in Italian and French cuisine featuring in recipies dating back to ancient times. It has acquired it's name from the rosy pink colour of the meat. This is a result of a varied diet, consisting of milk replacements, cereals and straw. The product is a delicately flavoured meat which is incredibly tender and lean, appealing to the busiest of consumers.

The Rose veal will be available in a selection of cuts; Cutlets, escalopes, diced, minced, osso bucco and in joints, some already stuffed.
