BBC Furture of Food

BBC Furture of Food: Every Monday night at 9:00PM, BBC Two are broadcasting a new series about the future of food. The series, hosted by George Alagiah, investigates and reveals a global food crisis which could affect the planet in future years. In last nights episode George looks in to the changing of diets in developing countries and also visits a Kent farmer to highlight just how important it is to buy fresh, local produce in today's changing world.
The programme also encourages people not to eat mass produced beef, as the American method of feeding cattle with grain in huge numbers has a poor food transfer rate. The episode goes on to state that an ideal role model for the future of meat production could be our very own British beef! Here at Jon Thorner's we are proud that all our beef products are both British and local.
