In the fields behind the Jon Thorner’s Farm Shop in Pylle, a picturesque 300m fishing lake of approximately 2 acres has been developed from a flooded railway cutting.
Jon Thorner has invested in the site, which has 14 well spaced swims dug out along the left hand bank. There is wheel chair access to the first 3 swims and further along the lake is a double sized swim, suitable for a group or family. It is a beautiful secluded spot with trees, and plants providing a haven for wildlife, birds and dragonflies. A woodland walk along the far bank provides views back across the lake and over the surrounding countryside. There is already a natural fish population and we have enhanced it with additional fish stock, including Carp, Bream and Perch.
A parking area and hard track have been added for easy access to the site.
